Anand Tiwari on working as a Director
Anand Tiwari says “I am grateful to have been given opportunities that have become a commerical hit. I have worked with exceptional talents like Angira, Vicky, Shreya to name a few. When we create a story we view it it a very selfish way. When I say selfish I mean we look for characters that would fit. We usually work with people whom we know since 6 to 8 months or maybe 2, 5 to 10 years. When we want an actor to fit in a character, we tend to be protective. Sometimes producers cast actors without being concerned about their star power, their followers.”

He further adds “However, we are lucky to have been working with people who gave us the opportunity to work with them. Having said this, I was lucky to have worked with Angira in Bang Baaja Baraat, and now she is my wife, similarly I worked with Vicky and he is a friend now. I have never viewed this as a chance to launch new faces but I have backed good talents. Triptii Dimri starred in Bad Newz because it was Karan Johar’s idea, and that was way before Animal finalised its cast. She never worked in any commercial film earlier, her past works are Laila Majnu, Qala and Bulbul. We include talents when we feel they fit right as the character, them becoming a star isn’t our contribution but destiny. We get a chance to work good thats all.”
